My name is Bevan McKinnon and I’m a 40-year-old elite triathlete living in Takapuna, Auckland. I’ve been participating in Triathlons for approximately 20 years and have raced at an elite/professional level for the last 5 years
I’ve participated in Ironman and World ITU championships. However after having qualified for the Ironman World Championships at the 2007 New Zealand Ironman, my performances have been consistently improving and my recent results have me winning or placing in the overall category in the races I’ve entered. I have now raced all around the world as a professional ironman athlete for the last 3 years and have achieved multiple top ten finishes including two podiums in 2011
I also own and run a very successful triathlon coaching business called http://www.fitter.co.nz We’re the specialist coaches for Challenge Wanaka and have coaching associations with many of New Zealand’s largest and most popular races including the New Zealand Long Distance Champs, The Port of Tauranga half ironman
