Plant Based Diet & Vegan Foods

By Maggy Lehmicke

Only 20 years ago, veganism was a relatively foreign concept in the United States, but the diet gained popularity around 2010 surrounding a surge in health awareness and ethical concerns. Today, veganism is no longer just a “trend,” but a way of life for many, with 2019 being officially coined “the year of the vegan” by The Economist.

Luckily, there are many vegan-friendly Xendurance products that help enhance performance while remaining health-conscious. Below are some vegan supplements that are not only vegan-friendly but also help ensure you’re getting the nutrients your body needs, especially if you're following a plant based diet.

Lean and Lean+

For vegans who lift weights and are particularly active, consuming the right amount of protein is often a major concern. Xendurance Plant Protein + Greens is a low-carb, plant-based alternative to many other protein powders on the market. Packed with 20 grams of protein per serving and a long list of nutrient-dense, organic greens, it works as a snack or meal replacement, depending on your fitness goals.

The proprietary formula – primarily composed of peas and chickpeas – gives the blend a smoother texture than some other vegan proteins, which can often taste grainy in shakes and smoothies. Kale, acai berries, goji berries, and spirulina are just a few of the other nutrient and antioxidant-rich ingredients.

If prioritizing weight loss, consider pairing with Lean+ – a ForsLean-based supplement that helps reduce carb cravings, balance blood sugar levels and increase fat oxidation. Green tea extract, white kidney bean extract and chromium picolinate are just a few ingredients that can help promote fat loss.

Creatine-JB

Much like protein, creatine is a substance that’s proven to enhance strength, build lean muscle mass and assist with post-workout muscle recovery. Though naturally found in your body, creatine supplements are particularly beneficial for athletes, as studies suggest they increase athletic performance by providing your muscles with the additional energy they need. Sold in powder form, Creatine-JB is an easy addition to any breakfast smoothie or post-workout shake.

Because it’s only traditionally found in animal tissue, creatine supplements are particularly beneficial to vegans and plant-based eaters. Creatine has also been suggested to lower blood sugar levels, which is important if you’re currently following a carbohydrate-heavy diet. Various studies suggest a range of other health benefits as well, including protecting against neurological and neuromuscular diseases.

Focus

Another Xendurance favorite is Focus – a nootropic blend created to boost energy, mood, and mental clarity. Beetroot powder, green tea extract, L-Theanine, and L-Tyrosine are just a few of the ingredients that make this energy supplement so effective. While green tea provides a dose of natural caffeine, beetroot powder is known to help reduce triglycerides in the bloodstream, which not only benefits heart health, but is beneficial for those on a vegan diet as well.

Though initially designed for athletes, the effects associated with Xendurance Focus also make it a great fit for those in academic programs and career paths that require heightened focus, alertness and mental endurance. The all-natural blend is also free of many common allergens, including soy, gluten and dairy.

CBDeepSleep and CBDeep Full Spectrum

Hemp products are rapidly growing in popularity in the U.S. as people begin to recognize their many health benefits, including enhancing skin, heart and brain health. Because of the low THC levels in these products, you’re able to benefit from their use without the marijuana-related “high.”

One of the most common uses of CBD supplements is to address insomnia and anxiety-related disorders. Xendurance CBDeepSleep is specifically designed for this purpose, coming in the form of peppermint chews packed with ingredients that can help reduce stress levels and produce a natural, calming effect. For those who are interested in its anti-inflammatory properties, CBDeep Full Spectrum is a whole-plant hemp oil that was designed for regular use and has a wide range of health benefits. Much like its counterpart, CBDeep Full Spectrum is non-psychoactive and has a THC content of less than 0.3 percent.
