Maryland Resident Privacy Supplement (MODPA)

This section offers additional details for residents of Maryland as required by the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act (MODPA). All terms in this section carry the same definitions as those used in the MODPA. This notice does not cover information outside the scope of “personal data,” including de-identified or publicly available data under the Act.

Questions or Contact

If you have inquiries about this privacy supplement, please reach out to us here.

Targeted Advertising and Data Sharing

We use certain personal data—such as identifiers, online activity information, commercial details, and location data—to support targeted advertising. This helps us deliver more relevant advertisements to you.

You can opt out of this processing at any time here.

We do not “sell” personal data under MODPA because we do not receive monetary or other valuable consideration in exchange for it.

Profiling

We do not engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on consumers.

Your MODPA Privacy Rights

You may exercise the rights described below by submitting a privacy request here.

Right to Access Your Data

You may confirm whether we process personal data about you and request access to that data. Upon request, we will provide a portable, readily usable copy of your personal data so you can transmit it to another entity.

We may charge a reasonable fee for access requests that exceed one per 12-month period.

Right to Categories of Third Parties

You can request a list of the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed your personal data. This information is also available in our main Privacy Policy.

Right to Deletion

You may request deletion of personal data we have collected about or from you. We will permanently remove this data from our systems and instruct our service providers to do the same, except where retention is permitted or required by law.

Any data we retain for allowed purposes will not be used for other processing activities.

Right to Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your MODPA rights. This includes not denying goods or services, charging different prices, or providing a different quality or level of service.

We also will not retaliate against employees, job applicants, or independent contractors who exercise these rights.

Right to Opt Out

Sale of Personal Data: We do not sell personal data as defined by MODPA.

Targeted Advertising: You may opt out here.

Profiling: We do not engage in the type of profiling covered by MODPA opt-out rights.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit an opt-out request on your behalf, including through browser or device-level signals. We will honor valid requests once we verify both your identity and the agent’s authority.

Opt-Out Preference Signals

Your browser may send automatic opt-out signals, such as the Global Privacy Control (GPC). When we receive such a signal, we honor it by updating your browser’s privacy settings accordingly. This opt-out applies only to the specific browser and is not linked to any account, as we do not associate browser identifiers with logged-in accounts. You can learn how to enable GPC through your browser or extension settings.

Right to Correct Inaccurate Data

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal data we maintain about you, considering the nature of the data and how we use it.

Verifying Your Request

We will authenticate requests by comparing the details you provide with information we already hold. If we cannot verify your identity, we may request additional details. We may deny a request if authentication is not possible despite reasonable efforts. Verification is not required for opt-out requests, though we may deny fraudulent ones based on a good-faith belief supported by documentation.

Right to Appeal

If we deny or do not act on your request, you may appeal the decision within 90 days. To appeal, click here and title your email with “Appeal a Decision”.

If you are unable to resolve the matter with us and believe your rights under MODPA have been violated, you may submit a complaint to the Maryland Attorney General’s Office.
